Artist Bio:
The Diamonds were a Canadian vocal quartet that rose to fame in the 1950s and 1960s. The group was originally formed in Toronto in 1953 and consisted of Dave Somerville, Phil Levitt, Ted Kowalski, and Bill Reed. They are best known for their hit song "Little Darlin'," which reached the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1957 and became their signature song.
The Diamonds continued to release successful singles throughout the late 1950s and early 1960s, including "The Stroll" and "Why Do Fools Fall in Love." They were known for their tight harmonies and energetic performances, which helped them become one of the most popular vocal groups of their time. The Diamonds' music was a blend of doo-wop, pop, and rock and roll, and they were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2004.
