The band's members have varied over the years, but the founding members were Jeff Hanna, Jimmie Fadden, and Bruce Kunkel. The band gained popularity in the 1970s with hits such as "Mr. Bojangles" and "Fishin' in the Dark."


The Dirt Band is known for their blend of country, folk, and rock music, and they have released over 30 albums throughout their career. They have won multiple Grammy Awards and have been inducted into the Grand Ole Opry. The band is also known for their collaborations with other artists, including their groundbreaking album "Will the Circle Be Unbroken," which featured collaborations with legendary country and bluegrass musicians.
