The Doors were an American rock band formed in 1965 in Los Angeles, California. The band consisted of vocalist Jim Morrison, keyboardist Ray Manzarek, guitarist Robby Krieger, and drummer John Densmore. They were known for their unique sound that blended rock, blues, and psychedelic music, as well as Morrison's poetic and often controversial lyrics.
The Doors achieved significant commercial success with hits such as "Light My Fire," "Break On Through (To the Other Side)," and "Riders on the Storm." They were also known for their intense and electrifying live performances. The band's career was cut short by Morrison's untimely death in 1971, but their music continues to be influential and is considered a cornerstone of rock music history.
