The Doors were an American rock band formed in 1965 in Los Angeles, California. The band consisted of vocalist Jim Morrison, keyboardist Ray Manzarek, guitarist Robby Krieger, and drummer John Densmore. They are considered one of the most influential and controversial rock acts of the 1960s, known for their unique sound that blended rock, blues, and psychedelic music.
The Doors achieved significant commercial success with hits like "Light My Fire," "Break on Through (To the Other Side)," and "Riders on the Storm." Jim Morrison's charismatic stage presence and poetic lyrics, combined with the band's innovative musical style, helped them stand out in the era of classic rock. The Doors released a total of eight studio albums before disbanding in 1973, following Morrison's death.
