Artist Bio:
The Doors were an American rock band formed in 1965 in Los Angeles. The group consisted of vocalist Jim Morrison, keyboardist Ray Manzarek, guitarist Robby Krieger, and drummer John Densmore. They are considered one of the most influential bands of the 1960s, known for their psychedelic rock sound and Morrison's poetic and controversial lyrics.
The Doors achieved significant commercial success with songs like "Light My Fire," "Break on Through (To the Other Side)," and "Riders on the Storm." However, they also courted controversy due to Morrison's unpredictable behavior and provocative lyrics. The band released a total of nine studio albums before Morrison's death in 1971, after which the remaining members continued to release music under The Doors name. The Doors were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993, cementing their legacy as one of the most iconic and groundbreaking bands in rock history.
