The Dove Shack is a West Coast hip-hop group from Long Beach, California. The group was formed in 1993 and consists of members Bo-Roc, C-Knight, and 2Scoops. They gained popularity in the mid-1990s with their hit single "Summertime in the LBC" from their debut album "This Is the Shack" released in 1995. The song was a commercial success and helped establish The Dove Shack as one of the prominent rap groups from the West Coast during that time.
Following the success of their debut album, The Dove Shack released their second album "Reality Has Got Me Tied Up" in 1996. Despite not achieving the same level of commercial success as their debut, the group continued to be respected for their smooth and laid-back West Coast sound. The Dove Shack's music often featured G-funk influences and showcased their unique blend of harmonies and rap verses.
