The Dramatics are an American soul music vocal group formed in Detroit, Michigan in 1964. The group originally consisted of members Ron Banks, William "Wee Gee" Howard, Elbert Wilkins, Willie Ford, Larry Demps, and James Mack Brown. They are known for their harmonious vocals and smooth, romantic sound, which helped them achieve success in the 1970s.


The Dramatics had several hit songs on the R&B and pop charts, including "In the Rain," "Whatcha See is Whatcha Get," and "Me and Mrs. Jones." They were also known for their energetic live performances and stylish choreography. The group continues to perform and record music, with various lineup changes over the years, but they remain an influential and beloved soul music act.
