The group originally consisted of Ron Banks, William "Wee Gee" Howard, Elbert Wilkins, Willie Ford, Larry Demps, and James Mack Brown. Through the years, the lineup of the group has changed multiple times, with Ron Banks being the only consistent member until his passing in 2010.
The Dramatics achieved their greatest success in the early 1970s with hits such as "Whatcha See Is Whatcha Get" and "In the Rain".
