The Dramatics are an American soul vocal group formed in Detroit, Michigan in 1964. The group originally consisted of members Ron Banks, William "Wee Gee" Howard, Elbert Wilkins, Willie Ford, Larry Demps, and James Mack Brown. They gained popularity in the 1970s with hits such as "Whatcha See Is Whatcha Get," "In the Rain," and "Me and Mrs. Jones."


The Dramatics are known for their smooth harmonies, soulful vocals, and engaging stage performances. They have been credited as one of the pioneers of the Detroit soul sound and have left a lasting impact on the R&B and soul music scene.
