The Dramatics are an American soul music vocal group that formed in Detroit, Michigan in 1964. They were originally known as The Dynamics but changed their name to The Dramatics in 1967. The group's original members were Ron Banks, William "Wee Gee" Howard, Elbert Wilkins, Willie Ford, Larry Reed, and Larry "Squirrel" Demps.


The Dramatics achieved success in the early 1970s with hits such as "Whatcha See Is Whatcha Get" and "In the Rain." They are known for their harmonious vocals and smooth, soulful sound. The group has gone through various lineup changes over the years but has continued to perform and record music. The Dramatics have left a lasting impact on the soul music genre and are considered one of the iconic groups of their era.
