Artist Bio:
The Drifters are an American R&B vocal group formed in 1953. They were originally created to back up Clyde McPhatter, but the group went through several lineup changes over the years. The group is known for their smooth harmonies and hits such as "Save the Last Dance for Me," "Under the Boardwalk," and "This Magic Moment." The Drifters were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1988.


The Drifters have had numerous members throughout their history, and multiple versions of the group exist today. Despite the lineup changes, The Drifters have remained a popular and influential group in the R&B and doo-wop genres. Their music continues to be celebrated and enjoyed by audiences around the world.
