Artist Bio:
The Drifters are an American R&B and doo-wop group formed in 1953. They were originally created as a backing group for Clyde McPhatter, a former member of Billy Ward & the Dominoes. The group went through numerous lineup changes over the years, but they are best known for their string of hits in the 1950s and 1960s, including "Save the Last Dance for Me," "Under the Boardwalk," and "This Magic Moment."

The Drifters were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1988 and are considered one of the most successful vocal groups of the early rock and roll era. Their smooth harmonies and soulful sound have influenced many artists and continue to be celebrated by fans of classic R&B music.
