Artist Bio:
The Dubs were an American doo-wop group formed in Harlem, New York in the late 1950s. The original members of the group were Richard Blandon, Cleveland Still, Billy Carlisle, and Thomas Gardner. They are best known for their hit songs "Could This Be Magic" and "Don't Ask Me (To Be Lonely)", both of which charted on the Billboard Hot 100 in the late 1950s and early 1960s.
The Dubs were signed to the Gone Records label and later to the Josie Records label. They were known for their smooth harmonies and romantic lyrics, which were characteristic of the doo-wop genre. The group continued to perform and record music throughout the 1960s and 1970s, although with several lineup changes. The Dubs' music has been influential in the doo-wop genre and they are remembered as one of the notable groups of that era.
