Artist Bio:
The Dukays were an American doo-wop group formed in Harvey, Illinois in the late 1950s. The group originally consisted of lead singer James Lowe, Shirley Jones, Ben Broyles, Earl Edwards, and Eugene Dixon. They gained popularity in the early 1960s with their hit song "Nite Owl," which reached number 73 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1962. The Dukays were known for their smooth harmonies and soulful vocals, which made them a standout group in the doo-wop genre.

After "Nite Owl" was released, the group experienced some lineup changes and eventually evolved into the successful soul group, The Chi-Lites, with Eugene Dixon taking on the stage name Eugene Record. The Dukays' music continues to be celebrated by fans of doo-wop and soul music, with "Nite Owl" remaining a popular song in the genre.
