The Easybeats were a rock band formed in Sydney, Australia, in 1964. The band's members included Stevie Wright, Harry Vanda, George Young, Dick Diamonde, and Gordon Fleet. They are best known for their hit song "Friday on My Mind," released in 1966, which became an international success and is considered one of the greatest Australian rock songs of all time.


The Easybeats were pioneers of the Australian music scene and played a significant role in the development of rock music in the country. They were known for their energetic live performances and catchy, upbeat songs. The band had a string of hits in the 1960s before disbanding in 1969.
