The Electric Prunes are an American psychedelic rock band that formed in Los Angeles in 1965. The band's original lineup consisted of James Lowe, Mark Tulin, Ken Williams, and Michael Weakley. They are best known for their hit singles "I Had Too Much to Dream (Last Night)" and "Get Me to the World on Time," both released in 1966. The Electric Prunes were known for their innovative sound, blending elements of psychedelia, garage rock, and electronic music.
Despite their initial success, the band faced numerous lineup changes and struggled with creative differences within the group. The Electric Prunes disbanded in the early 1970s but reunited in the late 1990s to perform live shows and release new music. They continue to have a dedicated fan base and are considered influential figures in the psychedelic rock genre.
