Artist Bio:
The Elegants were an American doo-wop vocal group formed in Staten Island, New York, in 1958. The group consisted of Vito Picone (lead singer), Arthur Venosa, Frank Tardogno, Carmen Romano, and James Moschella. "Little Star" was their biggest hit, and it earned them a place in music history as one of the iconic doo-wop groups of the late 1950s. The Elegants continued to perform and record music, but they never quite replicated the success of their debut single. Despite this, their contribution to the doo-wop genre remains significant, and "Little Star" continues to be a beloved classic.
