The Emotions are an American female R&B vocal group formed in Chicago in 1968. The original members were three sisters: Wanda, Sheila, and Jeanette Hutchinson. Known for their harmonious vocals, the group achieved mainstream success in the 1970s with hits like "Best of My Love" and "Boogie Wonderland." They were signed to Stax Records and later to Columbia Records, where they released several albums that garnered critical acclaim and commercial success.


The Emotions received a Grammy Award for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group for their hit song "Best of My Love" in 1978. They have also been inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame. The group's music has been influential in the R&B and soul genres, and they continue to be celebrated for their contributions to the music industry.
