Artist Bio:
The Escape Club was a British pop rock band formed in London in 1983. The band was composed of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Trevor Steel, guitarist John Holliday, bassist Johnnie Christo, and drummer Milan Zekavica. Their music style was a mix of pop rock and new wave, and they gained popularity in the late 1980s.
The Escape Club is best known for their hit single "Wild, Wild West," which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1988. The song was featured on their debut album of the same name, which also spawned other successful singles like "Shake for the Sheik" and "I'll Be There." The band continued to release music throughout the 1990s, but they never achieved the same level of commercial success as they did with "Wild, Wild West."
