The Essex Featuring Anita Humes was an American soul group that was active in the 1960s. The group consisted of members Ronald Taylor, Rodney Taylor, Anita Humes, and Walter Vickers. They were signed to Roulette Records and released their debut single "Easier Said Than Done" in 1963, which became a major hit, reaching number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song also earned them a gold record.

Following the success of their debut single, The Essex Featuring Anita Humes released several more singles, including "A Walkin' Miracle" and "She's Got Everything." Despite their initial success, the group disbanded in the late 1960s. However, their music continues to be remembered and appreciated by fans of 1960s soul music.
