The Everly Brothers were an American country-influenced rock and roll duo, consisting of brothers Don and Phil Everly. They were born in Kentucky (Don in 1937, Phil in 1939) and achieved great success in the late 1950s and early 1960s. The duo is known for their close harmony singing and catchy melodies, which influenced many artists in the rock and roll and country genres.
The Everly Brothers released numerous hit singles, including "Bye Bye Love," "Wake Up Little Susie," and "All I Have to Do Is Dream." They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1986 and the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2001. Despite personal and professional challenges, the Everly Brothers continued to perform and record music throughout their careers. Phil Everly passed away in 2014, but their music continues to be celebrated and remembered for their distinctive sound and timeless appeal.
