Artist Bio:
The Exciters were an American pop music group from Queens, New York, active during the 1960s. The group was originally formed as a quartet in 1961, consisting of Brenda Reid, her husband Herb Rooney, Carolyn Johnson, and Lillian Walker. However, Lillian Walker was soon replaced by Sylvia Wilbur. The Exciters are best known for their hit songs "Tell Him" and "He's Got the Power," both of which were released in the 1960s and achieved commercial success.

The Exciters' music was characterized by their soulful vocal performances and catchy melodies, which helped them gain popularity during the peak of the girl group era. They were part of the Brill Building scene in New York City, which was a hub for songwriters and musicians in the 1960s. The Exciters' energetic and vibrant performances made them a favorite among audiences, and their music continues to be celebrated by fans of 1960s pop music.
