Artist Bio:
The Exciters were an American pop music group consisting of four members: Brenda Reid, Carolyn Johnson, Lillian Walker, and Sylvia Wilbur. They were best known for their hit song "Tell Him," which was released in 1962 and became a top 5 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The group was formed in New York City in the early 1960s and signed with the United Artists label.

The Exciters were known for their energetic performances and soulful vocals, which helped them gain popularity in the music scene during the 1960s. In addition to "Tell Him," the group had other notable songs such as "He's Got the Power" and "Do-Wah-Diddy." The Exciters' music was a blend of pop, R&B, and soul, and they were considered pioneers of the girl group sound of the era.
