The Firm was a hip-hop group formed in 1996 composed of four members: Nas, AZ, Foxy Brown, and Cormega. The group was created by Nas and Steve Stoute as a supergroup of some of the most talented and respected artists in the genre at the time. They released their only album, "The Album," in 1997 under Dr. Dre's Aftermath Entertainment and Interscope Records. The album received positive reviews from critics and was a commercial success, reaching number one on the Billboard 200 chart.
Despite the initial success of their debut album, The Firm disbanded shortly after its release due to creative differences and conflicts within the group. The members went on to pursue solo careers, with Nas and AZ continuing to achieve success as solo artists in the hip-hop industry. The Firm's legacy lives on as a short-lived but impactful collaboration that showcased the talent and potential of its individual members.
