Artist Bio:
The First Class was a British pop group formed in 1974. The group was originally a studio project created by singer-songwriter John Carter and his partner, producer Ken Lewis. Their most well-known hit single was "Beach Baby," which reached the top 10 in the UK and top 5 in the US charts in 1974. The song was released under the band name The First Class, although it was primarily a product of Carter and Lewis's collaboration.
Following the success of "Beach Baby," The First Class released a self-titled album in 1976, which included other singles such as "Bobby Dazzler" and "Dreams Are Ten a Penny." Despite their initial success, the group disbanded shortly after the release of their album. Today, The First Class is remembered for their catchy pop tunes and their notable hit "Beach Baby."
