The Five Americans were a rock band from Durant, Oklahoma, active in the 1960s. The band was formed in 1964 and consisted of members Mike Rabon, John Durrill, Norman Ezell, Jim Grant, and Jimmy Wright. They are best known for their hit singles "Western Union" and "I See the Light," both of which charted on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1967. "Western Union" reached #5 on the charts, while "I See the Light" peaked at #26.
