Artist Bio:
The Five Emprees were an American rock band formed in Lancaster, Pennsylvania in the 1960s. The band consisted of members Bob Shaffer on lead vocals, Jeff Burns on lead guitar, John Leighton on rhythm guitar, Jeff King on bass, and Bob Hershon on drums. They gained popularity with their single "Little Miss Sad", which was released in 1966 and became a regional hit in the Pennsylvania area.
Despite their local success, The Five Emprees disbanded in the late 1960s after releasing a few more singles that did not achieve the same level of success as their initial hit. They are considered a one-hit wonder band, known primarily for "Little Miss Sad". The Five Emprees' music is often categorized as garage rock, reflecting the raw and energetic sound that defined many bands of the 1960s.
