The Five Stairsteps were an American family group from Chicago, Illinois, consisting of five siblings: Alohe Jean, Clarence Jr., James, Dennis, and Kenneth "Keni" Burke. They were active in the music industry from the late 1960s to the early 1970s. The group's music was a blend of soul, R&B, and funk, and they are best known for their hit songs "O-o-h Child" and "Don't Change Your Love."


The Five Stairsteps were signed to the Buddah Records label and released several albums during their career. They were often referred to as "the first family of soul" and were known for their tight harmonies and energetic performances.
