Artist Bio:
The Flaming Ember was an American R&B and soul group formed in Detroit, Michigan in the late 1960s. The band was best known for their hit single "Mind, Body and Soul," which reached the top 10 on the Billboard R&B chart in 1969. The group's sound was characterized by a mix of soulful vocals, funky rhythms, and horns, which helped them stand out in the crowded R&B scene of the time.
In addition to "Mind, Body and Soul," The Flaming Ember had a few other minor hits, including "Westbound #9" and "I'm Not My Brother's Keeper." The band released several albums during their career, but they never achieved the same level of commercial success as some of their contemporaries. Despite this, The Flaming Ember is still remembered as a talented and influential group in the world of R&B and soul music.
