The Flamingos were an American doo-wop vocal group formed in Chicago in 1953. The original members included Zeke Carey, Jake Carey, Paul Wilson, Johnny Carter, and Earl Lewis. They were known for their smooth vocal harmonies and intricate arrangements. The group's most famous lineup featured lead vocalist Nate Nelson alongside the Carey brothers, Carter, and Wilson.


The Flamingos are best known for their hit songs "I Only Have Eyes for You" and "Lovers Never Say Goodbye." They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001 and are considered one of the most influential doo-wop groups of the 1950s and 1960s. The Flamingos' music has been featured in numerous movies, TV shows, and commercials, ensuring their legacy in the history of American popular music.
