Artist Bio:
The Fleetwoods were an American singing group formed in 1958 in Olympia, Washington. The group consisted of Gary Troxel, Gretchen Christopher, and Barbara Ellis. They are best known for their hit songs "Come Softly to Me" and "Mr. Blue," both of which reached the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1959. Their signature sound featured close vocal harmonies and simple, catchy melodies that captured the essence of the late 1950s doo-wop era.

The Fleetwoods were one of the few white vocal groups to achieve significant success in a genre dominated by African-American artists at the time. They were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2006 in recognition of their contributions to the music industry. The Fleetwoods disbanded in the early 1960s but their music continues to be celebrated for its nostalgic charm and timeless appeal.
