Artist Bio:
The Four Pennies were a British pop group formed in 1963 in Blackburn, Lancashire. The group consisted of Lionel Morton, Alan Buck, Fritz Fryer, and Mike Wilsh. They were best known for their hit single "Juliet," released in 1964, which reached number one on the UK Singles Chart. The song was written by group member Lionel Morton and showcased their harmonious vocals and catchy melodies.

Despite their initial success with "Juliet," The Four Pennies struggled to replicate this level of success with subsequent releases. They disbanded in 1966 after a few years of moderate commercial success. The group is remembered as one of the many British bands of the 1960s who found brief fame in the midst of the British Invasion but were unable to sustain it in the long term.
