Artist Bio:
The Four Preps were an American popular music vocal group who gained fame in the late 1950s and early 1960s. The group was formed by four high school friends from Hollywood High School in Los Angeles, California. They signed a recording contract with Capitol Records and released a number of hit singles, including "26 Miles (Santa Catalina)," "Big Man," and "Down by the Station."

The Four Preps were known for their close harmonies and upbeat, catchy songs that appealed to a wide audience. They were especially popular among teenagers during the early days of rock and roll. The group disbanded in the mid-1960s but reunited periodically for concerts and recordings. Despite their relatively short-lived success, The Four Preps left a lasting impact on the music industry with their memorable songs and smooth vocal performances.
