The Four Sonics were an American soul group formed in Detroit, Michigan in the 1960s. The group consisted of members Larry Cunningham, James Faison, Lorenzo Hassell, and David Ruffin, who was later replaced by Joe Louis Grier. They were signed to the Sport and Triple B record labels and released a handful of singles during their career.


The Four Sonics are best known for their song "You Don't Have to Say You Love Me," which was released in 1968 and became a moderate hit. They were influenced by the popular Motown sound of the time and were known for their tight harmonies and energetic live performances. Despite not achieving mainstream success, The Four Sonics are remembered as a talented vocal group who made a significant impact on the soul music scene during the 1960s.
