The Frantics were a Canadian comedy troupe formed in 1979 in Vancouver, British Columbia. The group consisted of four members: Paul Chato, Rick Green, Dan Redican, and Peter Wildman. They gained popularity through their radio show "Frantic Times" which aired on CBC Radio from 1981 to 1996, and later through their television series "Four on the Floor" which aired on CBC TV from 1986 to 1990.
Known for their witty sketches, clever wordplay, and satirical humor, The Frantics were considered pioneers in Canadian comedy. They won several awards for their work, including the ACTRA Award for Best Radio Comedy in 1984. The group disbanded in the early 1990s to pursue individual projects, but they have reunited for special performances over the years, showcasing their enduring influence on the Canadian comedy scene.
