Artist Bio:
The Gentrys were an American band formed in Memphis, Tennessee in 1963. They gained popularity in the mid-1960s with their hit song "Keep on Dancing," which reached number four on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1965. The band was known for their energetic live performances and their mix of rock and roll, pop, and rhythm and blues.

The Gentrys released several albums and singles throughout the 1960s, but they were unable to replicate the success of "Keep on Dancing." The band eventually disbanded in the early 1970s. Despite their relatively short-lived success, The Gentrys left a lasting impact on the music scene of the 1960s with their infectious sound and memorable hit song.
