Artist Bio:
The Grateful Dead was an American rock band formed in 1965 in Palo Alto, California. The band was known for their unique and eclectic style that blended elements of rock, folk, blues, and psychedelic music. They were pioneers of the counterculture movement of the 1960s and 1970s, and were known for their improvisational live performances.

The Grateful Dead achieved commercial success with their albums "Workingman's Dead" and "American Beauty" in the early 1970s. They were also famous for their dedicated fan base, known as "Deadheads," who followed the band on tour for decades. The band's lineup consisted of Jerry Garcia, Bob Weir, Phil Lesh, Bill Kreutzmann, Mickey Hart, and Ron "Pigpen" McKernan among others. The Grateful Dead disbanded in 1995 following the death of Jerry Garcia.
