The Guess Who is a Canadian rock band formed in Winnipeg in 1965. They are known for their hits in the late 1960s and early 1970s, including "American Woman," "No Time," and "These Eyes." The band's original lineup included Randy Bachman, Burton Cummings, Jim Kale, and Garry Peterson. Over the years, the band went through several lineup changes, with Cummings becoming the lead vocalist in the late 1960s.
The Guess Who achieved international success and were one of the first Canadian bands to have a number one hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart with "American Woman" in 1970. They were inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 1987 and received a star on Canada's Walk of Fame in 2001. The Guess Who's music has had a lasting impact on rock music and they continue to be celebrated for their contributions to the genre.
