Artist Bio:
The Headboys were a Scottish power pop band formed in 1977. The band consisted of members Davy Ross on vocals and guitar, Calum Malcolm on keyboards, George Boyter on bass, and ex-Slik and PVC2 member Ross Munro on drums. They were signed to Robert Stigwood's RSO Records and released their debut self-titled album in 1979. The album included their most well-known single, "The Shape of Things to Come," which reached number 47 on the UK Singles Chart.
Despite receiving critical acclaim for their catchy melodies and tight harmonies, The Headboys failed to achieve commercial success. After the release of their debut album, the band parted ways in 1981. However, their music has since gained a cult following among power pop enthusiasts and collectors of 1970s music. The Headboys' legacy lies in their contribution to the power pop genre and their memorable singles that captured the sound of the late 1970s.
