Artist Bio:
The Hesitations were an American soul group formed in the late 1960s in Cleveland, Ohio. The group consisted of five members: lead singer Bruce Martin, baritone singer Alvis Moorer, first tenor singer Sam Martin, second tenor singer Harry Williams, and bass singer James Flowers. They were known for their smooth harmonies and emotional delivery, which helped them stand out in the competitive soul music scene of the time.
The Hesitations gained popularity with their hit songs "Born Free" and "Soul Superman" in the late 1960s. They continued to release music throughout the 1970s, but never achieved the same level of commercial success as their earlier hits. The group eventually disbanded in the late 1970s, but their music continues to be celebrated by soul music fans and collectors.
