The Hesitations were an American soul group formed in 1967 in Cleveland, Ohio. The original members included lead singer Bruce Martin, guitarist Al Sharp, keyboardist Bob King, bassist Joel Flournoy, and drummer Ronald Brown. They were signed to the Kapp Records label and released their debut album, "Soul Superman," in 1968.
The Hesitations gained popularity with their hit single "Born Free," which reached the Top 40 on the Billboard R&B chart in 1968. They continued to release music throughout the late 1960s and 1970s, with songs like "Soul Kind of Love" and "Wait a Minute." The group eventually disbanded in the late 1970s, but their music continues to be celebrated by soul music fans around the world.
