The Hollies are a British rock band formed in 1962 in Manchester, England. The band achieved commercial success in the 1960s and early 1970s with their distinctive three-part vocal harmony style. Their music is characterized by catchy melodies, close harmonies, and jangly guitars. The Hollies had numerous hits, including "He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother," "Bus Stop," and "Long Cool Woman in a Black Dress."
The band's original lineup consisted of Allan Clarke, Graham Nash, Tony Hicks, Eric Haydock, and Bobby Elliott. Graham Nash later left the band to pursue a successful career with Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. The Hollies were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2010. Despite numerous lineup changes over the years, The Hollies have continued to tour and perform, showcasing their enduring popularity and influence in the world of rock music.
