The Hues Corporation was an American pop and soul trio formed in Santa Monica, California in 1969. The group consisted of St. Clair Lee, Fleming Williams, and Hubert Ann Kelley. They are best known for their hit single "Rock the Boat," which was released in 1974 and reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song also earned them a Grammy nomination for Best R&B Vocal Performance by a Duo, Group or Chorus.


The Hues Corporation continued to release music throughout the 1970s, with moderate success on the charts. Their music often featured a blend of pop, soul, and disco influences. The group disbanded in the late 1970s, but their music continues to be celebrated and remembered for its catchy melodies and feel-good vibes.
