The Hues Corporation was an American pop and soul trio formed in Santa Monica, California in the late 1960s. The group consisted of St. Clair Lee, Fleming Williams, and Anna Maria Santos. They are best known for their 1974 hit single "Rock the Boat," which reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and became a disco classic. The song also earned the group a Grammy nomination for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals.
The Hues Corporation released several albums in the 1970s, including "Freedom for the Stallion" and "Love Corporation." While they never replicated the success of "Rock the Boat," the group continued to perform and release music throughout the decade.
