Artist Bio:
The Ikettes were a trio of female backing vocalists who performed with the Ike & Tina Turner Revue from the early 1960s through the early 1970s. The group went through various lineup changes over the years, but their most well-known members included Robbie Montgomery, Venetta Fields, and Jessie Smith. The Ikettes were known for their energetic dance routines and powerful vocal harmonies, which added a dynamic element to Ike & Tina Turner's live performances and recordings.

The Ikettes were featured on many of Ike & Tina Turner's hit songs, including "River Deep - Mountain High" and "Proud Mary." They also released a few singles under their own name, such as "Peaches 'N' Cream" and "I'm Blue (The Gong-Gong Song)." The Ikettes were an important part of the Ike & Tina Turner Revue's success and their influence can still be heard in the world of R&B and soul music today.
