Artist Bio:
The Impalas were an American doo-wop group formed in Brooklyn, New York in the late 1950s. The group consisted of lead singer Joe "Speedo" Frazier, Richard Wagner, Lenny Renda, and Tony Carlucci. They are best known for their hit single "Sorry (I Ran All the Way Home)," which was released in 1959 and peaked at number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
After the success of "Sorry (I Ran All the Way Home)," The Impalas released a few more singles, but none were able to replicate the same level of success. The group disbanded in the early 1960s, but their music continues to be remembered and celebrated by fans of doo-wop music.
