The Impressions are best known for their hits such as "People Get Ready," "It's All Right," and "Keep on Pushing." Their music often featured socially conscious lyrics and smooth harmonies, earning them a reputation as one of the most influential soul groups of the 1960s. The group's music helped pave the way for the development of funk and disco music in the 1970s. The Impressions were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1991.
