They achieved commercial success with hits such as "People Get Ready," "Keep on Pushing," and "Gypsy Woman." The Impressions were influential in the civil rights movement of the 1960s, with their music often reflecting themes of social consciousness and empowerment. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1991 and continue to be recognized for their impact on the music industry.
