The Innocence was a pop group formed in the early 1970s in the United States. The band consisted of members Michael Kamen, Trevor Veitch, and Michael Brown. They gained popularity with their hit single "There's Got to Be a Word!" in 1966, which reached the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Despite their initial success, The Innocence disbanded in the late 1960s. Michael Brown went on to join the band Stories, known for their hit song "Brother Louie."
