The Intrigues were an American soul group formed in 1969 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The group consisted of members Michael "Tiny" Colbert, James Lee, Ronald Hamilton, and Robert "Lil Sonny" Edwards. They were signed to the Yew Records label, a subsidiary of the larger Atlantic Records.
Their biggest hit came in 1969 with the song "In a Moment," which reached #10 on the Billboard R&B chart and #31 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song is considered a classic of the Philadelphia soul sound. The Intrigues continued to release music throughout the early 1970s but never achieved the same level of success as they did with "In a Moment." Despite this, they remain a notable group in the history of soul music.
